IPView: A Simple Android Application to Display Your Device's IP Address
IPView is a free Android application developed by Martin Schultz. Its main function is to display the current local and public IP address of your Android device. It also offers a widget that is updated every 15 minutes or when you tap it.
The application has a simple interface with five boxes that display different pieces of information. The first box shows the local IP address, which is the IP address that your device receives from either the mobile or WIFI network. The second box displays the public IP address, which is the IP address that your device presents to the outside world. It can be the same as the cellular IP, WIFI IP, or an entirely different address depending on whether your cellphone provider or WIFI network uses NAT.
If your device is a phone, the third box displays the IMEI. The fourth box displays your device's MAC address if you have a supported Android version. However, MAC addresses can't be retrieved on newer Android versions. The fifth and final box displays the reverse DNS hostname of your main IP address.
